African Horned Cucumber (Cucumis metuliferus)

In the African horned cucumber, the prickles are still clearly visible. The taste of its fruits is a sweet mixture of banana and passion fruit flavour. They change their colour when fully ripe from green to orange-yellow and look very decorative in the course of this. For consumption, the fruits are sliced in length and the innards are spooned out.
