Crested lavender is a particularly beautiful type of lavender with medicinal properties. The wild form of the plant is native to Mediterranean coastal regions. Although crested lavender is no longer of great commercial importance today, it was once highly valued as a medicinal plant, particularly in the Arab world. Its strong-smelling essential oil has strong antibacterial properties. This lavender owes its name to the tuft-like petals at the top of the inflorescence. The wild form we offer has slightly shorter petals, but is particularly rich in essential oil.
