• Rhubarb chard 'volcano' (Beta vulgaris var. cicla)
  Is a beautiful old cultivar with glowing red stalks and green leaves. It tastes delicious and adds decorum to the garden.
• Parsnip 'half-length' (Pastinaca sativa)
  Back in the days, the Romans introduced parsnips to all corners of Europe. This popular root vegetable is very easy to grow and its long, white roots develop a wonderful mild, yet aromatic flavour.
• Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
  Is a low shrub that is very common in the rocky coastal regions of the Mediterranean and is known for its uniquely scented purple flowers. It is very popular both with people and bees.
• Love-in-a-mist (Nigella damascena)
  Is a delightful delicate flowering plant with blue and white flowers, which are a welcome addition to any flowerbed. Its seeds have an intense scent reminiscent of woodruff and therefore taste really nice in puddings and desserts.
